Due to the current health restrictions, CY will be hosting A LOT of public projects on our side yard while weather permits!
Oak Park resident Ben Bottorff, (Production Manager, Finisher, Owner of The Wood Wizard), has generously offered to build benches to provide seating for our visitors and clients at neighboring local businesses in Oak Park and Austin! Designed by Aldo Leopold, this open source bench design is sturdy, moveable, affordable, and relatively easy to build--what more could labor, materials, or both, you'll be providing a cozy place for friends, neighbors, and passersby to rest.
For $60: Sponsor a fully built bench - (add $10 for a custom stenciled name)
