The Chicago based artist The Singleman Affair has been the musical folk reverie of Daniel Schneider for over the last two decades. Weaving lonesome troubadour folk ballads alongside chaotic psychedelic out-forms these melodies have been a vehicle to evoke hazy rain-soaked afternoons, melancholic inner thoughts, and expanding colorful dreams. The band has spun various themes over the years, from reverb-drenched mythological hallucinations to drifting acoustic downer folk, and now finds itself washed out in surrealism, black and white stills, and multidimensional Kodachrome reels.

Alta Marea is a new music project founded and led by Lizzie Kirchner. A prolific songwriter, Lizzie’s been quietly writing songs all her life - mostly for herself, until now. Drawing mainly from folk and indie rock influences, her music is intimate, melodic and full of heart. The live band features the immense talents of two giants on the Chicago music scene - guitarist, Matt Gold, and drummer, Quin Kirchner. Their synergy, sensitivity, and exceptional artistry elevate Alta Marea’s sound, bringing the project fully to life.

Brian J Sulpizio uses the name Health&Beauty for the music he writes, but is also a co-writer in the new project Yr Knives. He has musically supported other writers over the years including Fran, Ryley Walker, and many, many more. He has also worked extensively as a music recording/mixing engineer with these projects and many, many others.

Health&Beauty's most recent double LP, "Shame Engine / Blood Pleasure," was released on Wichita Recordings just in time for the COVID-19 pandemic. Noted critic Peter Margasak hailed it as one of the best rock records to emerge from Chicago in its decade. Tonight the Health&Beauty lineup will include Doug McCombs (Tortoise), Quin Kirchner, and Bill Satek (M!nes), performing some of the music Sulpizio has incubated since 2019.
