The TMac v.4 lineup is an amalgam of Carl Mugavero - percussion, Charles Torpe - vocals and guitar, Dave Ott - drums, and Joe Fanelli - on bass (of course with all their various animations and alter egos). They mix and match. They cross musical borders. You’ll like it!
You are especially welcomed to come participate in the maiden concert voyage of Thelonious MacGillycuddy (v.4). We’ll be filming this fine occasion and celebrating with Laura, her family, and the Compound Yellow family at large. While we have a high art appetite for musical collage the content of our music is very accessible and recognizable. Try this on - A Tom Waits style noir infused bass and drum riff feeding into a 6 to the bar version of The Beatles You Can’t Do That with occasional playful chants in counterpoint highlighting the music of The Pointer Sisters and En Vogue. Can you dig it? Is that dope or what? :) So, If you’re tired of hearing monotonous cover songs, come on out and have a blast with us instead. Embrace the mashup. Let’s play!
