Join us for a day of art-making as an act in solidarity with organizers and communities impacted by the criminal legal system. Through a teach-in on parole, letter-writing and art making workshops at Compound Yellow, we will examine the impacts of long term sentencing, circles of healing, feminist freedom, and more. Workshop activities may include screen printing, embroidery + crochet, Mother's Day card-making, and a group theater exercise.
2pm-6pm: Screen Printing + Sewing/Crocheting
3pm-4:30 Teach-in on Parole, starting with a theatre exercise in the studio
5-6pm: Cook out!
