The Volta String Quartet is a young Chicago based ensemble in it’s second season. Sharing their passion for chamber music with a diverse audience is an important part of Volta’s mission. They have performed in public recitals at the University of Chicago and Chicago Park District events, as well as private house parties and retirement communities.

The Volta String Quartet started in 2016 and is based in Chicago. Its members met while studying music in college or music festivals and while working in Chicago. Because most of their individual schedules consist of playing in orchestras and teaching, they decided to form a quartet in order to play some of their favorite pieces of chamber music. They have performed at various venues in Chicago and Madison, WI.

Please join us on May 5th at 7:00PM for a program featuring works by Mendelssohn, Mozart, and Brahms!

Volta String Quartet will be performed with a free admission but donations are welcome & appreciated!
